Our professionally skilled teachers offer inspiring band lessons for students of all ages (starting from school-age) and skill levels. 

A semester in Kallio Band School consists of 15 weeks of lessons and a chance to perform in our concerts.

The basic band instruments are: drums, electric guitar, electric bass, keyboards and vocals. You can join a band with other instruments as well. Ask for more information if you’re interested!

Signing up for bands is done according to different age groups. Choose an age group most suitable for yourself.

After the registration we will contact you about scheduling and other practical matters. Payment is not required until your band starts.

Joining a band is a great way to support your instrument lessons and to improve your instrument skills. It is also possible to only register for band lessons.

Welcome to Music Playschool Pikkukarhu!

Music Playschool is goal-directed music education for children aged 0-6. From the age of three children join the lessons without an adult. The semester includes 14 lessons and a concert, where all the groups get to perform.

Music Playschool builds a foundation for a life-long music journey and prepares for later instrumental lessons provided by our highly trained teachers. Our goal is to create an inspirational and imaginative journey, where children get to investigate ways of communicating musical and technical insights together with the teacher.

The basics of music are taught by playing both rhythmic and melodic instruments, listening, playing musical games, nursery rhymes, improvisation and art integration such as visual arts and dance. All the activities are tailored to each child’s age and development. All our teachers are professionals in early childhood music education.
